*note - Knockhatch is situated directly behind Bushy Wood, so is a 5 minute walk away, not only does it have a range of fun activities, it has a professional artificial ski-slope with instructed sessions available, so come to Bushy Wood and enjoy some Winter Sports all year round !

Outdoor 110m artificial slope for skiing and boarding with the new Powderpac softer surface. Ski and boarding courses for beginners with fully qualified instructors. Equipment provided. Licensed bar with snacks. Retail shop with equipment and skiwear at competitive prices.

Voted the number one attraction in Sussex for days out with the kids by Southern FM listeners, just off the A27 at Alfriston, about 6 miles from Eastbourne. Where getting nose to nose with nature is all part of the most memorable fun family day out you can imagine.

Cuckoo Trail

THE CUCKOO TRAIL

This picturesque trail follows the former 'Cuckoo Line' railway track and stretches from Heathfield to Eastbourne Park. It passes through Horam, Hellingly, Hailsham and Polegate. The 13mile (21km) surfaced path through the Sussex countryside is mostly traffic free and is a safe route for walkers and cyclists of all ages, forming part of the National Cycle Network (Route 21).

EVOLUTION CLIMBING

This is an exciting and modern indoor climbing centre located on the Kent/Sussex border. Great climbing facilities with a 360 sq metre climbing area including bouldering, leading, top roping and abseil tower. Suitable for all abilities from beginner to pro. Instructed sessions and courses available.

 

Soft Rock Outdoor Climbing

Sister facility to Evolution Climbing,  outdoor climbing at Harrisons Rocks near Groombridge. Instructed sessions and courses available.

 

Stonecroft Scuba

STONECROFT SCUBA & DIVE SCHOOL

A scuba/diving school offering a wide range of courses, from scuba for under 10's, to diving for beginners, right through to full diving courses. Facility at Crowborough has an indoor heated swimming pool, (with male/female changing).

 
Spray Water Sports

SPRAY WATER SPORTS

The Spray Water Sports Centre at Eastbourne offers courses in sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, body-boarding and power boating. Activities range from a two hour taster session, of all the available water sports, through to achieving an official Royal Yachting Association (RYA) certificate in your chosen sport. They are open to anyone over the age of six years old.
