Whilst we are of course missing our youth groups, we have had a wonderful summer of family camping, thank-you so much to all those who came and supported us, here are details of what we are doing next!

As we move into the Autumn / Winter of 2020 we are continuing our family camping, which is still open to the families of adult members (leaders within Scouting/Girlguiding), and the families of our younger members (cubs, brownies etc), other bookings will be considered on a case by case basis (if you work for the NHS for example you will be very welcome).

Now, we know camping in December might not be everyone's cup of tea, so we are about to do a new round of projects, one of which will see showers being installed in Shackleton and Kipling Lodge, this will mean both can support family stays right through the winter months.

We aim to have that work completed by mid-November, but in the meantime they can still be hired with the temporary showers we have (which have had rave reviews!), so you can still stay in comfort before the colder weather arrives.

The lodges are well equipped, spacious, and a very cost-effective option for a short (or long!) break.

So if you need a weekend break, or a longer stay, please do consider us, such bookings are a financial lifeline for us, and of course, campers are still very welcome, as are motorhomes / campervans on our two new camper van bays!

As restrictions have lifted slightly, we now have evening and daytime visiting slots available, we are installing a new 'bus-stop' on our drive so you can operate drop-and-go systems with parents for social distancing, and can allocate you toilet block cubicles for use by just your group, to minimise crossovers with other site users.

When it comes to safeguarding, you would just need to treat a visit here like going to a public venue such as Drusillas or Thorpe Park, as there may be 'public' on site.

As soon as residential stays by groups are permitted then of course we will return to our normal operations.
