LATEST UPDATE - JANUARY 2021
We are closed to general bookings during this lockdown period, however we can open for 'exempt' bookings such as those which relate to 'work' or 'education or training', subject to our approval of the conditions of the booking, they must comply of course with the latest regulations.
As we move into the Spring/Summer of 2021 we intend to continue with our family bookings, so we will welcome families of adult members (leaders within Scouting/Girlguiding), and the families of our younger members (cubs, brownies etc), other public bookings will be considered on a case by case basis (if you work for the NHS for example you will be very welcome).
We have just completed a new round of projects, we have new wetroom showers in both Shackleton and Kipling Lodge, so both can now support family stays entirely separate to the main toilet block, allowing more safe capacity in there for campers and camper van users.
The lodges are well equipped, spacious, and a very cost-effective option for a short (or long!) break.
So if you need a weekend break, or a longer stay, please do consider us, such bookings are a financial lifeline for us, and of course, campers are still very welcome, as are motorhomes / campervans on our two new camper van bays!
As soon as restrictions lift sufficiently we will once again safely welcome youth groups.
When it comes to safeguarding, you would just need to treat a visit here like going to a public venue such as Drusillas or Thorpe Park, as there may be 'public' on site.
As soon as residential stays by groups are permitted then of course we will return to our normal operations, there may be a 'phased in' approach to this, we will know more when the time comes.
